Who wouldn’t want to experience total viewing experience just like you would in a theater at the comforts of your own bed or couch? Most people are becoming less and less thrifty these days when it comes to entertainment. It seems like consumers nowadays value recreation and relaxation more than before. Even with the expensive price tags of electronics such as television sets, most people do not mind as they are after the quality of entertainment they are going to get.

One of the gadgets that will definitely provide this amazing experience is the Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM. Having a price range of around $2,700 to $2,999, it’s not bad at all with the kind of picture quality and viewing pleasure that this 65-inch LCD TV produces.

Excellent Images, Smooth Films

The Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM is full HD with 1920×1080p resolution on a 10-bit ASV LCD panel. This provides for deep black levels and high contrast ratio that produces brilliant colors that look real and natural. Even with bright surrounding light, you can still have crisp and clear images with its high brightness level at 450 cd/m2.

For some LCDs, viewing angle is quite an issue as the picture quality significantly degrades as you move to a different position. With the LC65E77UM, this is a non-issue with its 176×176 viewing angle which means that you can still enjoy watching regardless of where you are seated.

This Sharp model utilizes 120Hz Fine Motion video processing which allows you to view fast-moving objects clearly and without hiccups. This technology allows smooth delivery of motion pictures so that action-packed films, sports events, or action games will not appear blurry that renders them unrealistic.

Sufficient Connectivity

There will not be a home theater system without the connectivity ports amongst the equipment. And with the Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM, the connectivity ports are very much sufficient. Just to name a few, this model includes four HDMI inputs, two high-definition component video ports that are 1080p compatible, two composite video and an S-video input. There are also multiple audio input and output ports available.

There are a few instances, however, that not all HDMI sources will work very well with this Sharp AQUOS TV. If all the HDMI sources are from the same company, there will be no issues. If using a different brand, though, it may take some settings adjustment and manual setup to make the devices communicate with one another. Nevertheless, this can be worked on with the help of a professional or the company’s customer service.

Overall, with the excellent picture quality and realistic action-packed films and TV shows, and considering its current market price of $2,999, the Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM is a great choice for 65 inches. And with its panel life, it may even last 32 years given 5 hours of TV watching per day.

People clamor for high definition TVs for a clear picture, realistic images and superb viewing experience. But with so many HDTVs, of different types, models and sizes, now in the market, it is more complicated now for consumers to choose one that they would set their eyes, and pockets, on. With a careful and closer look, though, there are only a few that truly excel in terms of picture quality while providing great viewing experience. One of them is the Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM, one of the 2009 Sharp HDTV models.

On the outside, the AQUOS LC65E77UM already looks elegant with its sleek black frame with gold-accentuated borders. The speakers are also neatly towed at the bottom so as not to interrupt the nicely designed bezel.

Unlike other big screens at 65-inches, this AQUOS model showcased the crispness of the image. It is equipped with Full 1080p resolution with Spectral Contrast Engine XD which makes the excellent deep black levels in this display possible. Color accuracy is almost perfect, and coupled with the right contrast, definitely brings images to life.

In motion films, the LC65E77UM doesn’t get left behind. The model has 120HZ Fine Motion Enhanced feature that allows smooth video processing, especially for films with fast motion images. Watching an action-packed movie on this HDTV will definitely be a breathtaking experience.

Although the amazing picture quality can be intimidating to average consumers, this baby is actually user-friendly. The menu and picture controls are easy to use and understand. It can even be used right away from the box, no setup hassles and tedious configurations. For the more advanced users, they will likely be happy as well because of the numerous inputs available. There are 4 HDMI inputs available, 2 component video inputs, RS-232 and PC inputs, as well as other ports normally found on a high-def TV.

The only downside noticed in this Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM is the sound quality of its internal speakers. They are fine when watching news and simple programs, but not really great for movies and audio-intensive programs. However, most HDTVs have the same weakness, anyway, and others are even worse than this model. A home-theater system would definitely complement this HDTV to compensate for this flaw. And it can easily be connected, as well, with the numerous inputs available.

For those wanting to have a big screen in their living room or bedroom, yet not keen on spending excessive amounts for other features that would eventually render useless, the Sharp AQUOS LC65E77UM is indeed a good bet and with the price of just $2,839 (including free shipping) for a 65 inches it’s a real winner.

This is it the mammoth – 65″ screen size is probably the biggest we will see in a long time, but not only the size matters, we’ll try to have a look at other features of Sharp LC-65D64U.

It has usual three HDMI connectors, unusually high dynamic contrast ratio of 10000:1, which makes the image very sharp and clear. Oh, and of course it is 1080, meaning resolutions of 1920 x 1080 (think about plugging computer into it ).

The screen quality as I though is very good thanks to the 65D64U Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel, the black is very … well … black, the response time is very low – 4ms, so one doesn’t need to worry about artifacts when watching action movies with fast pace.

Although the screen is big, the Aquos 65D64U is thin, it has about 16 inches depth, so one can place it very close to the wall, and enjoy a movie sitting on the other side of the room (quite big room I might add).

So if you have enough money and space in your home theater room then you should seriously consider buying this HDTV from Sharp, even for the price of <del datetime="2008-12-21T11:50:12+00:00">$3,999.99</del>.

<ins datetime="2008-12-21T11:50:12+00:00">UPDATE: Latest discounts for 65D64U are getting bigger and bigger, so now this HDTV is available for $3,047 with enhanced free shipping at Amazon, so there is one more reason to buy this TV set.</ins>
